Hmx280

After replacing the motors on several of my toy quads I'm thinking it's time to think about getting one with brushless motors. Was looking at the JJRC X1 but it seems to have yaw lag real bad or at least some of them do. Then I ran across the HMX-280 http://www.banggood.com/HiSKY-HMX28...ver-Transmitter-Battery-Charger-p-983620.html this being a PNF I will need battery & reciever, with extra set of props come to $129 which is still pretty reasonable for a brushless.

Does anyone have any experience with the HMX-280?

So you got the Deviation FW. So I don't think you need the modules.
Major features include:

  • Support for multiple protocols without any modifications to the transmitter:
    • Walkera Devo 6/7/8/10/12
    • Walkera WK2401/WK2601/WK2801
    • DSM2/DSMX

The quad page says:
Compatible with HiSKY/ DSM2 DSMX

What have you chosen for the RX?

I put the modules in to fly my other toy quads. Not knowing a lot about what receiver to get I have the stock one from the RTF version in the cart.

Yes that's the reciever I was considering.

I was in fact looking at this one http://www.banggood.com/index.php?keywords=eachine+250&cat_id=0&com=search&lang=en-GB

Looks like the Redcon-2 would work but I don't see any real advantage it would have over the Hisky.

I started out looking at the JJRC X1 but after reading all the post about it over a rcgroups it seems to have a lag issue with the rudder. It has recently been Deviated and that didn't appear to fix or help the rudder lag. Trying to get into brushless without breaking the bank.

This stuff is all new to me what is a satellite receiver? I have to agree with you reading the Chinese descriptions of things can be pretty confusing.
