I am very new to the rc toys, I got a cloud rider quad for Christmas made by propel rc. I am in love. Problem just as I am learning to fly quad broke (front right motor quit rotating) its a simple fix for skilled repair man. I found the wires are broke. I would like any suggestions on repairing original motor soldering wire maybe. I am also wondering if some quads parts are interchangeable specifically my cloud rider and the syma x5c. Thanks.

Many times the parts are interchangeable on these toy quads, when a motor wire breaks soldering it back is by far the best option, you should be able to buy a few sets of them also, they are coreless DC, so you can also just wire them in backwards if you were to only have CCW and need a CW motor.

Micromotor Warehouse says this.

CL-0820-15 - coreless motor set, 8.5x20mm (speed: fast), direct drive
All motor packs contain equal amounts of clockwise and counter clockwise motors. To maximise performance and life span, dont run them in reverse!

In that case they are either using directional brushes or if it were also a preformance problem then they probably have the timing set with a little directional bias.

The Propel Cloud Rider is very similar or is a V686 Quadcopter. Parts are interchangeable. I know because I was looking for replacement blades and extra batteries for my Cloud Rider.

Thank you, there's no information anywhere that tells you that, I've asked around and finally got the answer, awesome thanks again
