DANG IT MAN........gonna call you..."Brother from another Mother".....That is a SMOKIN deal.....
now...get the 2400 mah or 2500 mah batteries coming....I have BOTH coming, but not arrived yet..
When you get it...I can assist you in getting it right, ...but that is guessing, as to if you need help, and you probably wont..Just be sure to balance the props, before you even put them on.......My Dad has the black version....I may get the White one next....then put a "Radioactive" DJI skin on it....the skins for the Phantom will fit this chassis.....
Very cool if my enthusiasm for the X8 has sparked someone else's interest...My Dad has a DJI Phantom III to play with...both he and I figure he is better learning to fly with the X8 before he messes with his Phantom, which scares the poop out of him because of the cost......but he bought it before the costs went up. earlier this year..he paid 1600 bucks.. it is now half again more than that......He will get to it come spring.....My X8 will be worn out by then.....NOT.....lol.....with motors, gears, and other parts so readily available...this bird can fly forever...depending on your wallet.....lmao

Besides........I am not even at the end of my first year with quadcopters.....
I am just getting started.......WAY more...and way better things to come from me....
gonna build a 500mm custom quad from a kit...carbon chassis...all the sensors, bells and whistles...
a REAL video platform.....in the Pacific Northwest...the Beautiful scenery is endless...why not capture it?

Well FWIW you should look into tricopters, right from the get go only 3 motors and ESCs needed.

Check out what David W. (master pilot and tricopter proponent) can do with this pretty simple build. No GPS, no gimbals, no auto levelling etc. No Phantom could do this. :)

All his vids are cool.

And this guy's got the moves, again with very basic, and somewhat crudely built wooden tris. Full manual flying. This is one of his older vids.

I had seen, and contemplated several tricopters...yes they are simpler. But I do like the idea of flying by a map and coordinates like the auto pilot versions of quads can.....the DJI is just fascinating to me with all the bells and whistles...
However...I am a technology "Whore"....and just can't get enough goodies jammed into anything that fly's
and...I do "Work" for a living so.... Living expenses dictate MY toy budget....but I do ok.....
I live alone...except for my little poodle Duke, who is seen in many of my videos, he goes everywhere with me, and likes the copters when I fly in my apt...
My kids are all grown, and My wife of 25 years, lives across town, in her own apt...her daughter and 3 kids live with her....lmao....continually...really..everyday...Ha Ha...jokes is on her......we have been separated for over 4 years but still married...my life has ZERO stress now.......she and I are just good friends...probably never get divorced....sad huh?.....not......lol
