First quad, charging questions - Striker Drone

So, I got a quadcopter today as a gift.

It's not the most popular model, as can be evidenced from reviews:

However, as it's my first it'll more than do!

I've been flying it around on a single charge for about 5 minutes, and that's the only thing that I would like to improve upon.

The manual for the quad keeps mentioning a wall charger, but one wasn't suplied, so I use a regular iPhone wallcharger, and I'm worried that I'll fry/overcharge my battery quickly, as it says it's rated to 650 miliamps, and this charger does something like 2 amps, I believe.

I've kept it on the iPhone charger for about 90 minutes, and I get the advertised 5 minutes out of that.

Now, I keep seeing multiple battery packs come with chargers all around the web, and I'd just like some help in deciding which choice is the right for me.

I know very little when it comes to eletrical engineering so I don't want something that will fry my quad quickly.

This is what the battery that came with the quad looks like, along with the connector that it's cable has attached on the end:

First off I'd like to know more about my battery, how to charge it, what's the correct voltage, amperage etc.
Anything you can tell me is greatly appreciated.

These are some of the kits I've found:

Any help you guys can give me in regards to this would be great!
Any additional hints, tips, and general knowledge is most welcome as well, as I am very new to this field!

Thanks for your attention!

The actual charger is the the little USB thing that came with the quad, your 'regular iPhone wallcharger' is just a power supply, that in this case feeds it what it calls for. It doesn't force feed the USB charger. The included USB charger is what actually 'charges' the battery and determines when it's full.

As far as batteries shoot for at least 650mAh. That quad looks like a Syma X5 so this one should fit, if it's a little tight the plastic will bend a bit over time.

I use that one in a Syma clone.

I use a bit of cellophane tape as pull tabs at the nose. So it looks like this.

I got the Striker 2.4 Ghz for Christmas and I had the same problem to begin with. The instructions said the charger had a green light and a red light (Green was charged and red was charging), so I thought I had a problem. So I have been flying it all afternoon, 5 minutes at a time, and getting pretty used to it. Hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow and I can use it outside. My question is, has anyone found or used a higher mAh battery to get longer flight time. I understand that you couldn't go to big because that would change the weight and subsequently change the characteristics. But has anyone tried a little bit bigger battery? Your thoughts.....

I saw your post above after I posted, Jackson. I saw on your link that there are 750mAh. The Two that came with my Stricker are 500mAh. How much flying time do you get out of 750mAh?

Thanks everybody. I have to say, I have had a blast with this little Striker. I have been looking online for my next one. And Oh Yeah.....there will be a next one!
