Transmitter receiver information

New Quad Lover
Hey I was just wondering if anybody knows if the Syma
X8 will support a gopro with a transmitter set up? Or should I even bother? I hear the platform is too unstable.

What do you mean by:
... with a transmitter set up

In general flight times will be short and motors will be dying quickly. They seem stable enough to me with light winds in the reviews I've seen.

Well, I am trying to get a better fpv signal on my syma x8c and I was wondering if the gopro and a transmitter will work. I also wondered if I should even try with the x8. I want the phantom or inspire but I want to get good with the cheap stuff first.

Yes I have a gopro, and my syma x8 is on the way. I just started flying the syma x5 and love it. So now I want to set up a better quality fpv. I been watching videos on fpv flight, and have seen that the body of the x8 is similar to the phantom. So I'm just trying to build a platform similar to the phantom to practice with before I buy.

Better infers that you already have FPV. In the bulk of the vids that use the word FPV they are simply showing video recorded with an on board camera.

Here's actual FPV footage using this setup.

Here's probably recording it through his $500 Fatshark goggles.

Hopefully the camera video on your X5 looks much better. That said the X8's on board video is quite pathetic.

Here's some with OSD.

As far as onboard video for your X8 a Mobius or RunCam (about ~46grams with a homemade mount vs. ~ 150 grams for the GoPro)) would be a workable solution and provide nice video.

The mount.

For real FPV on either here's a workable solution.
