KK2.1 problem

I've set my quad up and programmed my kk2.1 board.

All motors, escs and everything else is set correctly. The X gyro seems to be in reverse for some reason.

You push forward, the rear motors spin faster as the should, you push backwards and the front motors spin faster. As they should.

However, if you tilt the quad forward the rear motors spin faster so it flips. The same happens when the quad is tilted backwards.

It's fine tilting side to side.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi mate have you been in to receiver monitor this shows you the sticks as you move them i think elev needs reversing , if you push forward the kk sreen will show elev forward i think your will show backwards

Hi mate,
Yeah, I've done that and still having the problem. Forward sends it forward, back goes back, left right and yaw are all correct it's as if the gyro is reversed.

Could a crash have damaged it like this?

Yes. It worked fine before.

After the crash I dismantled it, rebuilt it, factory reset the board and then rebuilt and reprogrammed it.

Everything works but 1 gyro seemed to be in reverse

HI mate i bet you have the motors plugged in wrong done it my self , plug them in one at a time or unplug one at a time and see if the right motor stops
Also what did you flash it with Steveis kk2.1 v1.18s1 pro is the most stable i have even used

HI mate also look in stick scaling if you put in a neg value in it will reverse that channel so check this too

the motors were in the correct order according to the programming screen,
1 -1
2-2
3-3
4-4

i have now switched them to,
1-4
2-3
3-2
4-1

no ide why but its working as it should be.

thank you for your help mate.
much appreciated!

Hi had the same prob , reversed the +and- on the ail and ele settings in mixer editor then had to reverse the same in the tx, all works great using ver1.9 pro

Hi glad its working on now , 1.9 pro is really for the acro board or if you have an acc blown on the board its so you can still fly in acro, the best for the KK2.1.5 self level is the steveis1.8s1pro

Thanks. Will do some tuning first and if not happy will flash the 1.8s pro

I agree with Neil that the Stevis firmware is really impressive in how much more it adds to this little board. I am surprised HK does not sell them with this firmware. May be the licensing that the firmware is released under.

Hi mate 1.8 is a good mix between normal flight ,self level, and acro , the 1.9 is acro so your need to be good at flying , but see how it goes

Hi,

Just wondering, I'm just setting out on my quadcopter journey. I've got an Sk450 KK 2.1.5 board with stock firmware.

As I'm a newbie, what would be the best, appropriate and up-to-date Stevis firmware to flash my KK2 board with?

Is it dramatically better? As the stock 1.6 firmware on my KK board seems OK at the moment?

Would anyone have a link? I'm also struggling to find the downloads. Cheers.

Hi, got myself a second kk2 board and built up a second quad x, installed steveis 1.8s1pro and set it up starting from from receiver test, all moving in the correct directions and centred,
then went to motor layout and set quadcopter x, plugged in motors in the correct sequence, and did all the setup in the mixer editor relevant to position, guess what self level was reversed again, anyway went to misc settings 2 and set the offset to 180deg. that solved the problem, Have now flashed steveis 1.8s1pro to the other kk2 board and will test all soon
