okay let's talk about drones!
so i've been waiting since last w/e to fly this thing, because of all the angst i went through setting it up.
i am telling you, about evil. i am telling you. you do not need to understand it, but i am telling you. evil.
there is something intrinsically wrong with the stock design. it's a minor thing, but significant until you devise a custom solution. the Rx is wedged in under the battery... which must have been a good idea with whatever Rx they designed it with, but the one they shipped mine with, it presses the bind button. so you either have to move the board or raise the battery, which is going ot take some manufacture to get something appropriate. manufacture i haven't felt like doing yet.
anyway. i've mentioned this bit before. we're bound.. motors are responding to Tx.. place outside, on flat surface, gentle throttle, just a bit, just a bit, then of course we are UP and going uPPER really fast.
i look up. instantly blinded by arizona sunlight. i cannot see a fk.
bring her down. better than far away. upside down on roof. throttle, skids off roof, into fence, bricks, leaf debris, keeps grinding, shut off arm switch.
whew! props aren't bent up and only minor chips. my spares are *still* not here.
hey, my vTx antenna is missing!
let's go back to not talking about quads. because, i am telling you, evil.
understand, i have got somethnig in my eye. the SAME i i always have somethnig in. it could be a cat hair, could be a fly. if a week goes by without somethin gin the SAME eye then it has been a rare week. but right now, this cat hair is dissolving, and will be for 24 hours, and my eye keeps getting coating of pus on it, so everything is blurry when the pus collects enough to float around. of course when i wipe it off the cat hair is *never* in that ball of pus.
