Travelling to Myannmar (Burma) with a Drone

Hi Gang,

I am planning on taking a drone to SE Asia at the end of the year and Myannmar seems the most tricky.

I was wondering if anyone has successfully taken a drone into Myannmar, and if so, can provide detailed advice on how to obtain a 'permission-to-fly' permit?

I have been bounced around a number of places, including calling the Myannmar CAA, Myannmar embassy in London and Yangon International Airport but no one seems to be able to help, I just keep getting different numbers to call. I've tried emailing too but I am getting no reply.

Yep, I think it probably does

It definitely seems possible though as they introduced legislation for drones fairly recently which states that you need a permit from the CAA. I have a couple more leads so not giving up yet!

Why not talk to the consulate of myramar? The problem is when you get in and out and how Customs agent will react to it.

I tried the embassy but they told me to speak with the ministry of transport. I think my answer might lie there still though so will be visiting them as soon as I get the chance!
