This guy just likes to mess with the limits of powering things with pneumatics. He made a DIY electric bike design in school that got him some popularity (think on v4 or 5 now), believe he went to school for aerospace design but is just trying to swing full time YouTube now. Think goal here is again just to see if it's possible at all to just power things with stored pressurized air (challenge for the sake of challenge and fun of designing new crazy things).

From looking at the video, he has a ducted fan to provide lift and uses compressed air jets to perform balance and directional control. Those plastic bottles can't carry enough air to do much controlling that I can see. Perhaps using compressed Freon 134A would be a better choice (Environmentally Friendly gas).

Seeing as it's more like a tricopter, he should have one thruster on a pivot for some real yaw authority.
