When I changed the motor, I also put the new propellers on because the other ones were damaged. It's hard because the propellers are not different colors, when I hit the accelerator, the quad just lifts up on one end.
I ordered a Syma X5C and it got stuck on a roof. I left it there for a couple of days, it rained. I eventually got it back, I took it apart dried the wet parts, to my surprise everything still worked.
Then I put it back together, I did a test and it didn't lift off the ground, it tilted forward and didn't hover. I ordered a new receiver board and replaced it, that didn't work - still had the same problem, I thought it was the motors. I then ordered a new quadcopter, that worked and after a while, a motor died.
I decided to get new motors for both of the Syma X5C's, and new screws for the first because I lost quite a few and other parts for the first one.
So I replaced the motors on the second Syma X5C, and to my surprise, the same thing that had happened to my first X5C happened to the second one aswell.
So I thought it can't be the motors, nor the receiver board. I then did a little searching. I found something which solved my problem, I was glad that I finally resolved the problem but at the same time really annoyed, because I did so much for one quad.
If you look under the propellers, they should have a letter and a number under them (Example: A1 or B1) forget the numbers, it should either have A or B.
The ones with 'A' are the propellers with the Warning sign to the left.
The ones with 'B' are the propellers with the Warning sign to the right.
The problem had to do with the blade/propeller distribution:
1. Place the quadcopter with both of the
red lights facing
forward.
2. The position for the propellers above the red lights are:
- The left Red Light should have the propeller with the "warning" sign to the left - The one with the letter A under it.
- The right Red Light should have the propeller with the "warning" sign to the right - The one with the letter B under it.
3. The position for the propellers above the green lights are:
- The left propeller above the Green Light should have the propeller with the "warning" sign to the right.
- The right propeller above the Green Light should have the propeller with the "warning" sign to the left.
