Simonk 12 amp ESC

well my dislike for banggood continues. I smoked something on my quad. Lower circuit board, cc3D or Esc. I ordered all from banggood on the 28th of march. I looked at my order today and it says the order is on back order. Two things on the order and they dont say which if all or one of it is back order. The cc3d is separate and it says they shipped it.

Anyway, can i use any old 12 amp esc or must they all be the same? Not sure what to do about the board. My plan was to have all three and disassemble and start testing.

Ive been on there. Some Eachine racer haters on there that are annoying to read. They have since moved on past the racer 250,but seem to think its a good use of their time to bad mouth it and brag about their upgrade (better) quads. Its kind of strange actually. I guess i could take a look.

Well no help from facebook. I got the CC3D installed it and went to librapilot. It took the firmware but the ESCs dont beep during calibration. Got power and ground to the solder points. Ohmed across them and no shorts. Im going to look into ESCs.

Why not use Boris's FW. If you plan on doing a little acro it would be a great help.

FWIW if you have an older model they don't seem to even sell the 2-3s ESC.

Part of the problem with one odd ESC will be that they may not be running the same version of SimonK.

Even if they are running the same version one may have different settings like slow start, or active breaking. Could buy a flash tool and make everything alike if you have any problems.

Hi guys. So a little update. I found a youtube vid showing how to bypass the circuit board. I did a little testing and found I burnt the power and ground near the battery plug. I ran power and ground straight from the battery plug solder points to the battery stepdown relay power and ground. It worked! So my board is fried. Went to libre pilot, got ESCs calibrated and flew tonight. Only thing is after a few crashes ( messing around in acro mode) it wont arm again. So I need to figure out what happened. Good news is my ESCs and flight controller are or were okay. Hopefully they still are okay. I can go a little fruther eliminating the lower circuit board if needed.

Banggood sells simonk 12amp. At least the took my money for it. :)
I guess I dont know which version I would have..... ?

Another update and advice needed. So, I have no motor response after arming. I went back to libra pilot and I can set all the motorstarts and the ESCs calibrate. Transmitter wizard works, set all the switches. And i can even see the throttle, pitch, roll and yaw on libra pilot hooked to my flight board. So Im confused why it wont actually rev up the motors. If the reciever is giving inputs to the flight board and getting inputs from the transmitter and I can see the inputs on libra pilot, it would make sense that the Flght board can take inputs from the rx and is getting the input command wouldn't it? And if I can rev up the motors on libra pilot to calibrate motor start up, it would make sense that the ESCs and motors are capable of receiving inputs from the flight board and providing output by running the motors. What am I missing?

Im slow to understand why its a good idea to switch before I even figure out what I screwed up or what my issue is. I have ESCs and a lower circuit board on back order so my idea here is to bypass the board and keep flying while I wait for it to show up. Im totally confused why I got it to work for a day, had some fun and now Im down again.

Help me understand the path you are recommending. Im a new guy and not gettin' it. :)

As for bypassing the board, you need a FCB to fly because you won't get 10'' of f the ground if you are not using the stabilization (different from autolevel)

I wrote something incorrectly.... I know I need a flight control board and have one. Im not trying to bypass the FCB, I'm talking specifically the Eachine racer 250 lower circuit board that contains the capacitors for the ESCs and supplies power and ground all over the quad. The lower circuit board is what I fried. The CC3D flight control board is fine, as far as I can tell. I have ESC calibration and motor power when configuring motor start speed. I have Rx input to the FCB that can be seen on libra pilot hooked by USB cable to a computer when I move the throttle, pitch, roll and yaw.... it show the correct inputs from the tx. It appears like the FCB is getting inputs from the RX. Since I can calibrate the ESCs and run motors up and down when the FCB is hooked to USB and Libre pilot, it would seem that the FCB is fine and can both receive inputs and execute outputs. The issue is it wont arm so that I can fly it.
I'm gonna go back into Libre pilot and double check my arm procedure. I'm certain it is set to arm by throttle down and "yaw right", but I'm going to make sure again.

So you have good ESCs, and a good flight controller? What is the lower circuit board you are talking about? Is it a stepdown acting as a BEC? Might add some pictures to help.

Im new to these things and this is my first hobby grade quad with brushless motors and ESC. From what I understand, most ESCs have capacitors as part of the ESCs, but for this set up they integrated them into the lower circuit board.
