How many flights on the receiver board? ...
Might be that vibration could break solder joints and it be more vulnerable over time? Though I've found that bad soldering breaks early on except in relatively rare cases. Never heard of any type of limit, however I've noticed that a board that has 100 flights is usually going to be more reliable than one with 2 good flights. Weird thing happen all of time in this hobby hahaha
Generally the ESCs on a brushed boar are integrated into the FCB, or are as simple as a little transistor. Designs vary a lot. That's my knowledge and experience also. Vibration could certainly be an issue, but even then unless it's a cold-solder joint or extremely flimsy wiring, if they make it past the burn-in period it should be good forever.
Do those little ESCs on brushed boards get hot? That could potentially limit their life. My Syma X8C has heat sinks. So maybe if the cooling isn't sufficient on a particular board, that could indeed shorten their lifespan just as with any electronics.
