I'm back after a few years off hobby, due to an accident at work. Bad head injury. Had a fractured skull which left me with headaches blurred vision & temporary loss of sight, shakes. I tried last year to get back into it but struggle with concentration & looking @ a screen.
Thing is now I'm stuck with old equipment.
I got 2 wings I can fly & two 5" quads with omnibus F4 boards but I don't want to fly them yet. I have a couple of 2.5" with old F3 boards.
Omnibus F3 nano /BF 3.2.0 omnibus omni hex
Omnibus F3 /BF 3.1.7 omnibus hex.
So I get F1 & F3 are unsupported now but I downloaded the last omnibus hex file from
BF 4.0.0 & tried to flash it with no luck.
It's like it wants to but gets stuck.
Tried the driver fixer & zadig with no luck.
I just want a couple of mini's to fly around my place & get back into it before the 5" come back out.
Things have moved on so much & I'm still on ibus & analogue fpv gear. If all goes well I may upgrade all my gear & give my old gear to my nephew who was sort of getting into it before my accident.
A jcb in work tiddly winked a gas cannister which pinged me in the back of the head. It shouldn't have been there but lazy folk just don't care. My claim is ongoing as still under a specialist, so no dosh yet.
At the moment I can only manage an hour on a screen before headache kicks in & I've been on this now for over a week & it's frustrating me. It's amazing how much one can forget & I used to be hot on this stuff.
So back to my dilemma.
I'm on BF 10.9.0 with no problems flashing F4 boards,
Just the F3's doing me in.
So I downloaded the last omnibus hex from 4.0.0
But it's not working, so does anyone know the last config that the above boards will work with.
Or can some kind person point out any errors I may have made. The quads worked I was flying both of them for a pack each before I tried to calibrate the esc's running multishot. Then the problems kicked in.
I tried to update the board but there is no target for omnibus F3, but there is in 4.0.0.. Should loading a local firmware hex for this work in 10.9.0 with 4.0.0 or do I need to go back to an older BF config for this to work. If so can you run 2 separate BF config on a pc or will I have to just downgrade then upgrade if I want to fly an F4 on 4.6.
Any help would be much appreciated & will try & pay it forward like I used to on here. Still up there on the scoreboard I see.
