Motors not spinning up, KISS fc

Greetings, Ive swapped out my old cc3d FC for the kiss fc but ive been unable to get it going, ive wired it all up, in the kiss gui once i arm it i can see the levels for the motors but doing a test does nothing and the escs wont beep or do anything if i plug the lipo in normally. using 12a esc's
Ive tried 3 different firmware versions on the flydunio site with no affect and tried all the esc modes in the kiss gui.

Did you calibrate the kiss to the radio channels? It sounds like it is not arming.

It does arm the gui says "armed!" and the blue light comes on on the FC

are they opto escs?

Optos from what I can tell.

They are not acting like they are getting power when you plug the battery in? (no beeping or sounds)

Maybe they need to be calibrated before they will power up? Have you calibrated them?

not really sure how to, the escs only have 3 wires, 1 for signal then + and -, dont know how i can power the receiver if i plug the lipo directly into the esc and the signal into the receiver

Power them on with full throttle, and then quickly throttle down. Make sure there are no props on the motors. This should calibrate them.

cant get it to do anything, no beeps. think im just going to ditch these escs and order some newer ones, the escs are quite old, may not work with the kiss fc

I would think it would be the flight controller before the escs. It is not likely that all 4 escs went bad at the same time.
