I wasn’t sure if I needed or wanted this or how much I’d actually use it. It is great for putting down over hard surfaces (cement, road, gravel, etc.) or even grass or sandy areas. It is lightweight and easy to unfold and refold, and I don’t even need the anchors that come with it (I think I’ve used them twice when the wind was a little brisk). It doesn’t seem like it would do much, but I have a Mavic Mini and the best part is that it protects the camera since it rides so low on the drone. Without a landing pad, the camera is on the ground or in the grass, especially during it’s start up procedures. This is easy to throw down and helps to protect the drone on both take off and landing. It’s also nice that other people can see it and it helps them stay clear of that area, whereas they sometimes walk right up to you to get a closer look. This helps create an invisible perimeter that they tend to stay clear of. Unintended benefit in that! Overall, this has been a great item that I have used almost every single time I’ve flown my drone.
For the Mini, the included straps are a little long. They still work, but leave a lot of slack that has to be tucked away. If you are considering a landing pad, I would highly recommend this one.
