OK. Apart from the existing problem of my Syma X25Pro not live streaming to the app, (separate thread about that) I have now experienced another problem:
While flying last week, on a calm sunny day, with the drone about 25m away from me, and at a height of about 10m, the drone suddenly shot up in the air and then flew sideways at a very fast pace. No amount of button pressing would make it respond, even the 'return to base' button or the 'one touch landing' button would not make the drone respond. It was away, with a will of it's own, eventually crashing into a tree about 100m away.
I salvaged it with no damage, luckily, and reset everything, changed the battery and flew it again. It behaved well for about 30 seconds, responding to all my control input, when once again, it took off on it's own., just like a very strong gust of wind had taken it - except it was a calm day. It wouldn't respond to the controls yet again, so this time I shut down the controller, and it crashed in some long grass about 50m away, again with no damage.
I gave up, turned everything off and I haven't had a chance to fly it this week as the weather here has been horrendous with heavy rain and high winds. To be honest, I'm a bit worried about trying to fly it again in case it does it again and it just carries on flying itself until it's out of sight. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or does anyone have any thoughts on what it could be? The drone is only a couple of weeks old, and I've been flying it a dozen times or so with no problems, until now.
