FRUSTRATED!!!! I built a Argonaut AQ320 from RCTimer. I put in a CC3D atom fc, and am using the Spektrum DX6 and the receiver it came with. THIS QUAD FLIES!!! I have flown it, but I cannot make the FPV work and I'm so frustrated I'm just going to buy a RTF and be done with it. I cannot upload photos here for some reason, but if you are interested, I will e mail you pictures of it all you want. You will get the quad, the FPV system, the controller, 3, 4000Mah batteries and a bunch of spare carbon fiber blades. this has a lot of upgrades, and to someone smarter than me, will make a great fpv quad. Asking only what I have spent, $800. Free shipping. If you do not want the controller, I will sell without but I will also take the RX. $600 gets it to you. U.S.A only. (sorry)

*SIGH* It really is nice. And truth be told, I like my spectrum controller too. I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING to get the FPV working. Im as new as new can be to quads and rc and FPV. So im sure its just me not being able to figure it out. I have had A TON oh help from other members, but again, I seem to be too new to figure this out. SO yea. If you can somehow work some magic, Id love to keep it. If not, I totally understand. I just need to get something working. Im hooked on fpv racing and now I even have a course where I live, so I can practice. What can I do to help you help me?

So I can get the video to work. But ANY throttle, it cuts out. Any. I seemed to have it fixed after some corrected wiring, but outside it dosn't work....

Well, now it's both. So I just hooked up 2 batteries, one for the fpv only the other one for the quad. Took the props off, and tested on the table. While nothing is running, the video is perfect. I can't make it cut out. I put both hands over the antenna, it's CRYSTAL CLEAR. Throttle up even 1%, straight cut out. My screen dosn't blue screen, so when I return to 0%. It immediately comes back. At one point, I got it to work once I throttled up. It would cut out right at the start, but would come back and stay on as long as I didn't return to 0%. I figured this would be fine, since it takes about 60% throttle just to lift off and hover. So I took it outside, excited that I got it to work. But outside, it did the same thing. Cut out with ANY throttle. Could it be my esc's?

Not sure. Have you tried moving the wires away from the quad as far as possible and tried? Sounds like either interference or possibly a bad vtx.

You think it's on the VRX part? I just assume with my inexperience and all the stuff I've put my VTX through, it would be that. Or do you think it's my control RX? Can I shield it somehow? My problem is, I can't afford to buy everything again.

George do you think it would work better with a 32 channel receiver then we may be able to move to a higher channel and clear any interference ?

If it was me for a test I would remove the FPV and set it up so the fpv and quad are side by side and throttle the quad and see what happens to the FPV it may even be the receiver is to close the FPV transmitter and its bleeding over it
On a 250 its hard as there is very little room I would mount the FPV on top of the frame as far back as poss with the control receiver in front of the FCB

I will take off the fpv system tonight. Its "easily" done by removing the top plate of my quad. as of right now, I have the battery mounted on that top plate, with the vtx underneath. maybe I can get the battery to fit in lower and mount the vtx on the top. first ill try to just separate the two and see what happens...

Hi well if it works out you may be able to mount FPV transmitter on top plate just behind battery , what we are trying to do is get the FPV transmitter as far way from any thing that can make interference

Thanks for the info! Where the battery sits on the top of the quad, there is no room to mount anything behind it. the battery takes up the entire space between the mounting plate for a go pro or Mobius, (With the little rubber vibration feet) and goes all the way to the end of the top plate perfectly. So hopefully I can get the battery to mount inside the frame, so I can use the top plate better...

Yes, if the receiver will work, but if the interference is THAT bad it may still be fuzzy. I agree with Neil on moving it, BTW both Tx and Rx have to be far apart as you can get them for max performance (if that ever becomes part of the equation xD)

Ok. So took everything apart. Powered camera by itself and walked it across the room. Powered up the quad, gave it throttle, IT WORKS! !! So it's interference with the controller. Problem is now, trying to reposition everything on the quad. Gonna put everything as far away as possible. I'll keep you guys posted.
