I have sg900 drone with 3.7 battery I’ve just purchased 7.4 volt batteries from e bay can I use the 7.4 batteries in the drone when I bought it it came with 3.7 volt battery
Many thanks
Ian
Yah it could work for a short time (especially if there are voltage regulators stepping down the input voltage they may have a pretty wide range of input). But running motors at higher than rated voltage will spin them faster for a short time or just cook the windings (too much voltage applied results in high current in the coils which is more torque but also more heat, more heat adds to resistance so it's a snowball effect). TLDR would not recommend.
-Yes, if you want your drone's motors to commit suicide. Similar to putting rocket fuel in your car's fuel tank. It will start and probably blow the head off of your engine, the first time you gun it! It will put a Hemi in orbit!
