The motors are tilted forward because at the speed these racers are flying it keeps their cameras facing more level for flight. Look at most racing quads and if you see the blades are flat like the bigger ones you will notice their cameras are mounted tilted upwards. On the little quads with the...
In order for me to use one for police purposes it has to be registered by the FAA so I registered the JasGad M6 for my department. In order to use one for commercial use you have to have it registered so that is why I registered my H6 Hornet because I want to eventually do aerial photography and...
When I used the Hobby King Blues I had to hook each one up individually to the throttle channel of the receiver and program them to my throttle positions max and low positions. If you do not do this you will get a unbalanced speed from your motors and this will cause yaw and in my case it could...
Something I drew up in my head and and built in my basement has made a bit of history. I filed for my registration number from the FAA and was informed that I had registered the first privately owned and hand made drone in the USA. Here is a picture of it.
Today I took the JasGad M6 out for a fly. Cold out but I still got a 15 minute flight. This hexacopter BTW, is getting a tail number as of last week. It is the very first privately built drone to be registered in the United States of America. I built it in my basement last year when I started...
This is going to be a stupid post for ya but you might find it helpful. I had a fly off and my friend had a fly off days later last month. Last month we were having bad solar storms. We were having class M solar storms for 30 to 48 hours at a time for over a few weeks. The worst solar storm we...
LOL. No explosives. Those are the flight batteries for my hexacopter. They are 8000mHa Lipos from Ready Made RC. I use their batteries on all my builds. Love them! That battery that powers the ground station is under the foam and can't be seen.
I have designed a new Ground Station and I will be offering it to my customers soon at www.longrangerc.com. Have a Look! It will take any of the Monitors ReadymadeRC sells up to the 12 inch monitor. Holes are all pre-cut and it has a place for their DVR system as well.
The two modes you speak of are not in my manuals. I have these modes: Attitude, GPS Lock, and Manual mode are on one switch and then on another switch I have Course Lock, Home Lock and Smart Orientation Off. I don't have Phantom and Naza M, Sorry
no, you shouldn't lose stick control. If you do try switching down to attitude. If that works, great. I have had mine lose GPS signal but always was able to fly without issue. You must train yourself to fly without GPS so your comfortable if the GPS fails.
