What to buy? No idea where to begin...

I second ringalongs suggestion. Graupner, for example, has a really nice little RTF 250 package that has a great reputation for being pretty quick and very rugged. Very "tweekable" for even more performance. The speed from these little guys compared to your AR is night and day. For high...

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

Oh my heart!! Did you, Mike H., aka "The Toy Man" , just say you were going to build a "real" quad?!?

suitcase deltarotor launches for production and sales.

That really is a good looking quad. The 2216-800KV should work great with the 1238 prop. The KV is a bit high to go larger. I'm afraid you will run into ESC/motor temperature issues if you go to a larger prop especially since most 650's weigh about a third less than yours. I have used the 1238...

    Newbie to quads...GPS Question

Hi Kim and welcome aboard! What are you flying and what flight controller do you have? The GPS will either be part of the flight control board or an add on module. Tell us everything about your quad you can and I'm sure the members here can help you. I am a huge fan of low hassle, plug and play...

suitcase deltarotor launches for production and sales.

3,386g is why you only got 6 minutes. Try a 12 X 3.8 prop and you should get a bit longer flight time. You should even be able to use a 3s battery with the 12" prop. You have never told us the size of the motors you are using. Just the KV. For example a 2316- 800kv then a 12" prop is about as...

Has anybody used this Chinese quad parts website?

Actually, I think the thread is right on track. You started by asking about the wisdom of buying from a particular Chinese vendor. Asking for help in finding reputable suppliers is a great example for new members. This forum has many members that had to learn with their wallets on the false...

Has anybody used this Chinese quad parts website?

No question, and there are some good ones out there. Caution was the purpose of the statement. Don't get suckered by the price alone. Do your homework.

    450 frame build - advice

The Spider ESC's are "opto" which means they do not have a BEC. Since you are using deans connectors for your ESC to PDB connection just solder the battery leads from the UBEC to one of the ESC deans connectors. The UBEC will power the FCB(the CC3D and the KK), which will power the Rx. To make a...

Has anybody used this Chinese quad parts website?

I believe that was the company that shipped the fake SunnySky motors I got back in June that I ordered in March. I recognize the xinte part of the name. Not 100% on the prefix part so don't hold me to it. Ringalong uses a company, gadget extreme, that he swears by. The prices look very...

    450 frame build - advice

Wow! You're moving right along. Looks like getting your radio to work is the last bit of the puzzle. Did you say that it worked with the KK? If so, you might consider mounting it, the UBEC and the Rx on a board with velcro on the bottom so you can move them from quad to quad. Make sure the ESC...

    450 frame build - advice

Hahaha!! Ain't it the truth! I didn't notice in your posts but did you also get a UBEC to go with the ZTW ESC's? If so, you're golden. If not you'll need one to power the KK and the Rx. I wish there were a cheap way to send you stuff from the US. If you come up with an idea on how to do it, give...

Help needed: Identify this part please?

I really don't know if it would,or would not, be able to lift a cam and a 450 frame. The Emax motors are not known for being powerhouses. There are so many frame choices out there you could go blind researching them. Your's was a 320, so maybe just look at frames from 320 to 400. That should get...

Help needed: Identify this part please?

Hey Glo, do you know what version you have? I was just reading some reviews and if you have V1.2 or V1.3 then the usb port is useless because there are no upgrades available. If it is a later version then it does have some value. Other than the mini USB(which is for the camera) and the led's it...

Help needed: Identify this part please?

I bet if you sent it and a case of beer to @Mike H. he would fix it for you!;) I'll search on the net as well. Someone is bound to have run into this before.

    Motor Vibration Problems!!

I really like my Du-Bro. Especially for larger props. I have a magnetic one for small props. Be sure not to breathe on the prop while balancing or you'll be right back where you started! Haha! I did exactly that when I first started and blamed the supplier for sending me a whole batch of bad props!

Hadn't thought of that. Hard to tell from the video but maybe. Did you check that pranav_rane?

Help needed: Identify this part please?

It sure looks like a power dist. board to me. It even says so. Is all that residue from the board from shorting out or is it just dirt? If parts of the board are bad maybe you could just hardwire around the burned out parts.

    Motor Vibration Problems!!

Props out of balance and spinning at a few thousand RPM are a BIG problem. Balance your props and you should be fine. Some of the cheaper props won't balance because they are drilled off center. If you find you can't balance yours then buy a grade or two up set of props. Also, it looks like your...

Cheerson CX-20 Propeller And RTH Help

Jackson. Did you notice that the posts you're addressing are months old? My reply was a comment related to previous posts. Not a "review". The Nova was new and I took it out a couple times(2 3000mah Multistar batteries each time) and that"so far", key words there, mine was doing fine. With the...
