Any guess as to the year that toy/hobby drones first appeared?

You would think with the advent of the internet, I could answer this simple question, but I can't. When did the first toy drones and hobby drones appear? What was the first toy drone? What was the first hobby grade drone? I am talking about the "standard" X style quadcopter drone...

I just picked up an Avier XL Pro drone and controller, but I need the manual! I do not know how to even start the motors! Does anybody have a manual they can photograph for me? Or send it to me as a text file or PDF? Any help will be appreciated!

I have a DJI Phantom 1 and I need a source for an inexpensive replacement body. I see the Phantom 3 and 4 bodys all over really cheap. The only Phantom 1 body I can find is $89 American. Does anybody know of a source that is cheaper than that? Thank you in advance!
