Virginia. Actually I may be near enough to you this fall on one of my epic motorcycle adventures.:p My plan is to finish up Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and western Colorado. I was thinking of going thru Ok. on the way back. Back to quads. This is a huge project you are taking on. Impressive. The only...

CARBON FIBER 320 SIZE QUAD AND DX6

From the esc's to the FCB will have the most effect. Also try it on the lead to your FPV transmitter. Twisting the leads from the FCB to yourRx is usually all you need there.

    Quadcopter Comparison

Looking at the Nova for what it is, a cheap phantom clone, it seems to get decent performance reviews. Jackson brought up the complaints about shoddy soldering and some esc problems. I found some of those too but I also found some for the phantom and a surprising number for the blade qx. Things...

CARBON FIBER 320 SIZE QUAD AND DX6

I have used those and they work fine. They are just large enough to fit 2 seta of BEC wires in one. Hope they help. If you can, make your dc wires as short as possible. The ac motor wires can be as long as you need without problems. Getting rid of a rats nest will be a huge help.

Angled Motor Mounts - How different motor angles effect flight characteristics

One more thing. Use a 10mm tall nylon standoff about 3/8" in front of the bottom of the camera board to keep it from over rotating. You can adjust it to suit later.

I don't really keep a favorites list. When I need something I'll google the part and see who has it. I try hard to buy from distributors on the mainland. Sometimes you can't. Like RC Timer CF props. I really like the way they perform and rarely do I need to balance one. It's the only thing I buy...

Angled Motor Mounts - How different motor angles effect flight characteristics

Here's another way.----- http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12875__FPV_Fiberglass_Pan_Tilt_Camera_Mount_L_Size_.html---- mount this upside down without the servos or linkage. Make sure it doesn't pivot. Mount your board camera. Make sure it moves freely. Add a small amount of modeling...

    Quadcopter Comparison

I just ordered a Quanum Nova. My wife accidentally (??) drove over my mini. I wanted something a little larger to fly while finishing/repairing my various quad projects and the Nova looks hard to beat. It's a Cheerson CX20 re-badged. A lot of those have been sold so how bad can it be? It comes...

Nah. Ask away. I'm pretty new myself compared to some of these other guys. I learned my lesson early on about the cheap parts from China. Not all are that way, but enough are that I'm very picky now. I have the time to do the research so why not? Here is the performance data on the kde 4215's...

That's the spirit! HaHa!! One big plus about buying in chunks is you can take your time reasearching and deciding on exactly what will work best for you. You should get another small one to stay in practice.

Wow! When you blow a budget you don't mess around! Tarot has a fine reputation out there. For something that large don't go cheap quality on ANYTHING. You don't want that falling out of the sky. That Hexa would crush a Smart car if it landed on it! LOL----...
