Yes, that has a lot of an effect, but is by far the most costly to redo.

What battery and ESCs are you using? I think the problem is first going to be on the motors as you are to only draw up to 10 amps.

I can vouch for this one, I use it on my LiPos, it will do 3s and 4s. What I like about it is that it only balance charges so it is really healthy for your batteries.

Your LiPos should be between 0v to 4.3v per cell. Now a healthy LiPo should be between 3.3v - 4.14v
