Need advice on choosing a quad.

Concerning your question about "depth" in your fpv video, fatshark attitude v3's support 3d, maybe that's a place to start

    how are holy stone quads?

I have two holy stone predators, no camera or anything fancy, but I love them. They are perfect for indoor flying and they do surprisingly well outside too. Very fast in high rates for a toy quad.

Today I learned I know nothing about cameras

So would something like this be sufficient? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Z5ZDRGY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1456509834&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=fpv+board+camera&dpPl=1&dpID=51rg1dJzaGL&ref=plSrch

Today I learned I know nothing about cameras

I'm trying to decide on a board camera for my fpv setup. All I know for sure is that I want it to capture video in 4:3. What is tvl? When I see things like 2.88mm, is that like the diameter of the lens? Can someone give me a starting point? I'd appreciate it.

Have you ever tried learning calculus for fun?

Ahh. As for my aileron problem, when I try to do banked turns I seem to get way more yaw than aileron, and I just end up spinning around. Is this something to be expected with stock settings with most programs? Or is there probably some tuning to be done?

Have you ever tried learning calculus for fun?

I'm just trying to understand how it all works for now, I have a cc3d running libre pilot and while it was too windy to flu outside today, I took it over to show my grandpa and while hovering around in his pole barn I noticed a bit of oscillation. Plus I need to add a little bit to the aileron...

Have you ever tried learning calculus for fun?

Sounds like all the people who ask me why I don't just buy kits or rtf quads, where's the fun in that?

Have you ever tried learning calculus for fun?

Who would have known that trying to understand how pids work would take so much effort? Is this all really necessary?

    Power distribution board

Those motors can pull 45 amps anyway, which should be fine, as long as you don't spend too much time at full throttle
  13. tylorwashere

    Power distribution board

What motors are you using? Just because your esc's are 40 amps doesn't mean that's what they are pulling, that's just the amount of current that they can handle if need be

Moved my cc3d, now gyro seems to be out of whack

So I just completely rewired and repositioned everything on my 250. My nylon stand offs finally came, so I mounted my cc3d up on them. Now when I get up in the air it seems really tippy, and kinda just does whatever it wants. Long story short; I'm so burned out right now from bright lights...

So did anyone meet the deadline?

Ohh, I was reading a little bit about n numbers, I thought they were only for actual planes/ helicopters. How can I figure out my callsign from my registration number, if I can at all? I think it would be neat to know

So did anyone meet the deadline?

You can use your n number for hobby aircraft?

So did anyone meet the deadline?

I got a registration number last night, it was relatively painless. I figure it's better too be safe than sorry. Is anyone else planning or not planning on registering? Why?

Wow is there a lot of fpv stuff to choose from

Nevermind, you can change the band on the reciever so it will pick up the frequencies that can be transmitted from that reciever

Wow is there a lot of fpv stuff to choose from

Looking at the chart, I won't be able to use that transmitter, because the frequencies will be 5mhz off
