I already registered my larger craft with the mail-in registration papers since I plan to do some commercial flying, but I am holding off on this process as recommended by the AMA. I do have a few small quads that I fly for fun so I will need to for them.

This could potentially be ok. All of my motors do not spin at the speed until they are in the air. Have you performed a takeoff yet?

I agree with Jackson. Seems to be a defective unit, or firmware is corrupt.

You do not have to use them, but make sure to insulate the pdb from the frame.

I have had 2 land in the water, and both times they were fine after I dried everything out. Once with the battery connected and once without the battery since it was slung off. I would run it through 4 or 5 batteries before I trusted it again though.

Assuming you are talking about return to home, then hopefully you have set the height high enough to clear the trees.

What size are you thinking of. Have you found any that you like? There are so many I am just trying to figure out which one to recommend.
