Looking for a camera and inverted gimbal.

I have need for a FPV camera that transmits but not with WIFI. I want it to be able to transmit to goggles. I also want a gimbal that is invertible (stands up than hangs down) This is needed for a special device I am designing. It should be priced moderate to low if possible. Any suggestions...

That pesky battery for the U818A.

I looked at this site. My question is why do the British call it 'loop and hook', when it is still called 'Velcro' here in the U.S.? I can get it anywhere in the USA for allot less than the 2.64 pounds they want for it in the UK. Plus I won't have to pay shipping either. Thank you, anyways, for...

    Collision Avoidance Systems?

Additional comment: I guess FPV with LOS (Line Of Sight) is still the best course for the small quads with FPV capabilities.

    Collision Avoidance Systems?

I viewed this video. The theoreticals are right with it. RADAR is the way to go. However, Passive RADAR isn't going to work for a quadcopter because the concern is not flying into an airplane at altitude but a tree or bush at low altitude. A tree or bush is also not likely to give off a radio...

That pesky battery for the U818A.

I was told and it happens frequently, that on a serious impact ( not a rotor breaking one), the battery for my U818A Quad has a tendency to slide out of its holder, which makes for added frustration in reinserting it. Thinking about this and trying not to give my brain a hernia, I know that...

    Collision Avoidance Systems?

Has anyone come up with a collision avoidance system for quadcopters? It would nice to have such a system so I can forget about crashing into trees, light & power poles, my neighbor's new car, my house, a dumb bird checking it out to see if it's edible. Come on guys, lets get cracking on this...

To fly or not to fly: How flying quadcopters can get you into legal trouble - Economic Times

Someone needs to develop a collision avoidance system for quadcopters. It would need to detect an object at least 3 feet in front of it and then cause the quadcopter to stop and reverse its course. Of course, being in a forest might present other problems but then how many of us fly our quads in...

    Best live feed drone

Do you think I could attach this to my cat so I can see were he goes outside? I suspect he's got several more feeding stations around the neighborhood. He would be like an autonomous low flying drone .

Drone rudely interrupts man sunbathing on 200-foot-tall wind turbine

I saw this on our local news station. I could only imagine how he would of felt if he rolled over forgetting where he was. That would have been a real photo op.

To fly or not to fly: How flying quadcopters can get you into legal trouble - Economic Times

I'm still lucky to get my quad to leave the ground before it finds a tree and tries to knock it down. Of course, that can only happen when the wind is not blowing, a phenomena that seldom occurs in Michigan. I guess that's why the electric company is so interested in wind farms here.

Confirmation Emails - CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!

One thing here, I get the Quadcopter E-mail Alerts, so everything else should be ok too. My spam folder is always too large to look at. More than often, I delete the contents without looking at more than the first 10 Subjects at most. It's possible that I missed any announcement if it went to my...

Confirmation Emails - CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!

I find that many ISPs block e-mail transmitted through Port #25, if the e-mailer is not certified (by whom I have as yet to arrive at). I use a third-party mailer but that's not useful for the likes of this forum unfortunately.

    An experience with stoopidmonkeyrc

If you compose the address and put it into Google Maps, you can get his location picture and a map to get there. I did and saw it was a house. There is also a number of photos of a quad he built. What you want to do with that info is up to you.
