what is the quietest small (mini) quadcopter ?

I agree with Jackson. Quads, even as toys, can still cause injuries to your pets, in particular their eyes, if hit by the high-speed rotor blades. Get them a ball or something. A dog uses its mouth in most cases to play. Imagine catching that high-speed rotor blade on your tongue. Real OUCH!

    Quadcopter Control Board Help

OK, but a picture's worth a thousand words and the video made that quite clear. The original question involved quads not other multi rotor craft. Granted more is better, but that was not the point as far as I see it.

    Quadcopter Control Board Help

After looking at the video I can see even with two propellers down, the quad can still fly, however, with loss of yaw control. It would still be better to land the quad and fix the propellers.

    FAA On Quadcopters

Basically BS! The bad guys never will register. How many people drive around on suspended driver's licenses? How many crooks own unregistered handguns? This will just be another unenforceable rule. How many people know that it is illegal to ride your mule on a county road without a lantern...

Names and addresses of people who register their 'drones' will be public info...

Gee, our list will be as popular as the sexual predators list and as famous. What an honor. I hope everyone that's a voter remembers this, because the US Congress has to approve such things.

Watch this movie (drone movie!) - Rotor DR1

Well, that may may work for you, but did not for me. Things acted funny when I tried the link so I assumed (perhaps poorly) that there really was something sinister. I just tried using the dot com and could get to the site. The dot ws did not. How do you think the idea of it being a malware...

Watch this movie (drone movie!) - Rotor DR1

If you go to www.afdah.com, that IS the legitimate web site for what we're talking about here.

Watch this movie (drone movie!) - Rotor DR1

If you go to www.afdah.ws, it isn't even a legitimate web site. So, what are we talking about here anyways?

Watch this movie (drone movie!) - Rotor DR1

So, if this link is an attempt at placing malware why is it even on this forum? It should be removed forthwith.

    thanks

Why is this important? Let's think about that for a while before we let the out if the bag.

    Berkeley Drone Research Survey

There were a couple of questions that were not optional and I think should have been. Age, Sex and Ethnic Group. Also, the only company I knew about was Hubsan and there was no selection for UDI/rc, which is a fairly common manufacturer of less expensive Quadcopters.

    Ed Crankshaft and his Quadcopter.

Ed Crankshaft has given up on cleaning his gutters with his quadcopter. Now heis into a more productive use. He is using it to chase squirrels out of his bird feeder. Leave it to a guy who's anecdotes are always mis-quoted.

    Ed Crankshaft and his Quadcopter.

Seems Mr. Crankshaft wanted to clean the leaves out of his gutters without having to climb a ladder. So, he got and (had) built a (quadcopter) drone as the bright idea to do that. It worked for a while until he crashed it into a gutter. I never thought of using a quadcopter to do that. Now...

Are we doomed by the ignorance of the masses?

Also, some people just like to bitch about something they have absolutely no knowledge about and just like to hear themselves talk (possibly on radio or television). They are also the kind of people who sit in their dark houses, oblivious to what going on around them and only say something when...

Are we doomed by the ignorance of the masses?

This is hysteria caused by misunderstanding and gullibility. These people probably also believe in flying saucers and alien abductions. They are a disgrace to who I identify with, Senior Citizens. Also the government has failed to make a distinction between the quadcopter hobby-craft and...

    Keeping the forum pure.

I don't mind the advertising for quads and multis and RC stuff that's interesting and part of this culture. But, Anti-aging cream, what's the idea about that other than to take advantage of a free forum, and thus, free advertising? That kind of stuff should not be permitted. There should be a...

U.S. Will Require Drones to Be Registered

This is the same thing as gun control to protect those that don't have guns. The bad guys could give a damn because they are already breaking the law, whereas the law abiding citizens obey the law and fall victim to those that don't. Hence gun control does not work anyways. Regulating drone...

You Might Want To Buy A Quadcopter Now - Hackaday

Well then, I guess they'll be regulating laser pointers and model rockets too soon. Naturally, you will always have some jerk that uses something for other that what it was intended. Those people screw it up for the rest of us. Which of us will fly their quad over the White House to see if...

    Can't Get Off the Ground

I have a UDI U818A quadcopter and it works just fine. The only time the lights flash and the controller beeps is when the battery is low. Pairing is easy. Leaving the battery disconnected from the quad, I turn on the controller, run the throttle up and down once, connect the battery to the quad...
