    Lotsa music here

Problem with this page is, if you click on a track to hear it, you can't EXIT the track. I had to fire off my task manager to kill the track, then re=log into my browser. Not very convenient.

    Drone advice

The Tarot X8 is just the framework. You still need to put everything in it to get it off the ground. For $312.00 for the framework, what's the other costs going to be?

    rc controlled off-road vehicle

A mighty low flying quad. At least it won't get stuck in a tree, as long as it isn't driven over a cliff and lands in a tree...

Something we should all be aware of...

True on this, however the House Bill is stuck and may not get approved in a timely fashion to meet the requirements for the conference committee. Sounds much like other legislation that dies before it's born...

Something we should all be aware of...

Fellow Quadsters, I am a recent member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). I joined this because I both fly a quadcopter and, recently, a fixed-wing R/C Airplane. Not unlike the requirements imposed by the FAA on Quadcopter operation, so too are R/C fixed-wing model aircraft pilots and...

Turncoat Quadster turns to Areo Jockey...

Fellow quadsters, While I still own my quadcopter and try to fly as often as there is no wind (where would that be?) I have regressed in the pursuit of flight by buying a Hobbyzone Super Cub S. No, this is not a quad, it is a fixed wing r/c airplane! It's quite large with a 47 inch wingspan...

    Video overwrite

I'm a videographer by trade. Depending on the camera you are using, some cameras, when you remove the SD card and put it back in, think you are starting over and thus records over what you originally have on the card. To be on the safe side, don't remove the card from the camera, but rather...

First Post, First Build, First Questions - go easy on me.

So, after you get this built, what are you going to do with it? See, I'm one of these guys that like to have a quad fly right out of the box. I am not an Aeronautics Engineer nor someone that wants the complexity of building an unproven machine and the first time out smashing it into something...

    OMG ITS WAR

So, here's the thing, if you are doing nothing illegal with it and flying it according to FAA rules, you have nothing to worry about. Except for some irate neighbor that shoots your quad out of the air, he has to deal with the police for discharging a firearm in the city limits. For you, your...

    Anyone know about this event?

I was perusing model flying clubs in my area of Michigan (USA) and ran into this link with regards to the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA?) Anyways, I was interested in clubs that included quadcopter flying. So,I found this link and it sounded interesting... http://www.internationaldroneday.com/

    Future of the Quadcopter? Scary!

Looks like an advanced Cobra Gun Ship of the Vietnam conflict era. A long way from Sikorsky's Open Cockpit Helicopter of the late 1940s.

    Future of the Quadcopter? Scary!

Not yet, anyway... Recall the difference between the V-2 rocket and the Saturn 5 rocket. They were both rockets but of completely different technologies. One was a bomb carrier. The other helped put men on the moon. The Wright Brothers built their flier, which flew about 500 feet. We have the...

    Future of the Quadcopter? Scary!

What's scary is it is a workable concept. Take Sikorsky, who invented the helicopter. Would he ever had thought that it would mature into the Huey, Cobra, Blackhawk and Apache? When he demonstrated it to the President (Truman?) the military minds were there and, I am sure, quickly figuring out...

Tutorial: How to extend Hubsan X4 H501S Remote Control Distance

Interesting, yes, writer of same needs lessons in English sentence construction. I just barely got the gist of it. Still wondering about the foil and the tilt.

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

GJH105775, the links you gave caused my computer to lock up on me. Don't know what's wrong with them.

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

Another way to look at this is through the eyes of aircraft companies that build multi-million dollar surveillance aircraft for the government. With the advent of quadcopters like the Phantom 3 and 4, a $1,200.00 platform with a camera on it would eventually put them out of business. Quads are...

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

Fine, do as you wish, although I don't think the FAA and the FBI will condone it. Simple things lay the groundwork for more dangerous things. I'm not saying you'll do it, but other less savory people see it and might come up with a similar more devious plan based on a harmless principle. Just...

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

Remember that kid who rigged his quad to fire a handgun? Remember what happened to him? Want the same? Do what you asked about, because you'll probably get what he got. Why would you even consider doing something so crazy?
