    Syma X5C-1 Modifications thread

Ill be adding on to the mods of how to make a cheap balancer for the x5 props...This could work with most any toy quad using the hex style mounting...Im sure it will help with flight times, improved motor life and, even some better video quality.

    prop balancing issue.

I bought some aluminum tape and gave it another go...This time went to the top of the blade with the tape...i think this is about as good as i can get a prop for now..I'll do the other 3 later tonight after work and see how it flies tomorrow.

    Syma X5C-1 Modifications thread

Just ordered another x5c-1...Gearbest has them at $23.00 for a BNF (no camera/no tx) and they confirmed it used the V6 board..Great deal...the board alone is $13.00...Spare motors, motor holders, props, lights , lenses and body for $10.00..Ill take it.

    prop balancing issue.

Ive read alot about people using aluminum tape so, do you think the thickness would alter that up top?

    prop balancing issue.

I guess i need to fly the quad already and see how the camera is working...most all of them have a very bad jello effect and only after a prop balance does it go away or some home made cushioning for the camera...Id prefer to have somewhat balanced props instead...The video seemed pretty...

    Clearboost 5.8ghz booster

5.8g is not good at penetrating objects...It might give you longer range without many obstacles in the way but if you want signal behind alot of obstacles you need to go with the 1.2g/1.3g fpv systems....you can fly around buildings and into different rooms of your house or whatever and not lose...

    prop balancing issue.

Thats what comes on the cheap magnetic balancers already...So to balance the hubs just mount one nut at a time in the center of the rod to balance it?

    prop balancing issue.

So mount the hubs both nuts center of the spindle and use a glass to find the heavy side or one hub at a time in the center and do each one separate? One side the cone faces in and the other side i was having to use the bigger flat side against the prop. (As i saw in the video)

    prop balancing issue.

I may ditch the balancer and try something like that...I was thinking maybe a carbon shaft sanded to fit snug inside the prop so it stays level with the shaft and maybe use 2 glasses or the edge of a counter/table...Anything has to better than my results so far...Im not sure how my prop nuts...

    prop balancing issue.

The props are stock x8c props...they are cheap but all thats available for the x8c unless i want to modify some stock dji props.....The video i watched was of the same stock props using the same balancer so, the best i could pretty much find and really the only video on balancing x8c...

    Building Hybrids for fun.

A Devo 7E seems to be the go to Radio to control a number of toy quads but its not cheap..with each different protocol comes the need of yet another module installed onto the transmitter...Its not for a beginner in any way shape or form unless you can understand the programming and downloads...

    Help with motors bayangtoys x9

Here is maybe a helpful tip...When you know you are about to crash ,make sure to drop the throttle completely..Any motor/prop resistance with throttle on can burn out a motor or even the flight board fairly easy.

    prop balancing issue.

So, i bought one of those china specials of a prop balancer...the fancy carbon sides and anodized nuts....I bought it to balance the props on my X8C but im having major issues with something i cant figure out. I watch a youtube video of a guy using the same balancer to balance his own x8c...

Anyone Have A Flying 3D X8 That They Are Happy With

Yea, not alot of good reviews with that quad...Best advice to give your friend is to read reviews BEFORE purchasing...Gearbest might offer a partial refund but he wont be very happy with it and its a alot of effort proving to them there is a problem with it...Best of luck.

Review of the Hubsan X4 H107L and Tips for Flying

Sort of doesnt make any sense..Adding the protectors shouldnt make it not fly...Not sure whats going on with that...possible the props are hitting the guard on the back side?.

Top 5 Mini RC Quadcopters in 2016

Meh....i dont own any of them to form a true opinion but anything with wifi automatically gets a thumbs down from me personally for fpv use..maybe the quad itself is still a good flyer but wifi flat out sucks based on everything ive read about them.

A little help here for my first build

What size is just a personal preference...The syma x5 you bought is 200mm..A larger Syma X8C is 350mm and its a pretty big difference size wise but still considered somewhat small. The larger the quad; typically means a more stable quad when programmed properly but will also require more...
