I need a drone body! Aerosky X350 or Phantom 1

I need a new body for my Aerosky x350. For some odd reason they never had a good replacement parts supply line for the Aerosky X350. It is very similar to a Phantom 1, but I can't seem to find a reasonably priced source for the Phantom 1 body either. I'm considering putting my Aerosky gear...

    Hello I am new here

Good one Lone Ranger! Mock someone's sentence construction with one that is equally bad! LOL!

    Another Noob

Well Doctor, I'm sure I'm not telling you anything, but if anybody gets a chance, take a Syma X5 motor apart and look at how small the tiny fingers are that are the brushes! They are two or three thin brass "fingers" not much thicker or wider than a hair from your head! The are like three...

    Identifying Front End Of Quad

They are there to let the air out when you land the quad in water! To help it sink faster. Otherwise it might float for several minutes.

    Another Noob

Well, not sure why yours didn't' last, but my Syma X5's seem to be fine after many hours. I did change one motor on my X5 clone, but I must have several hours on that quad. And it's has been to the bottom of a reservoir and back! And with the Symas you can buy the props, motors, main control...

    Another Noob

Yeah, but toys are fun to play with. We don't need a bully like you throwing a wet blanket on our party! Many "drone people" have lots of fun with the Syma X5's. Toy grade drones are responsible for a lot of people ending up purchasing hobby grade or even professional grade drones. Not...

Guys What do you think makes a great Drone Pilot?

And why I have a fleet of Syma X5's or a variation of. You can't buy parts easier or cheaper than Syma X5 parts! AND you can crash land them from any height and not break them! Yes, to answer the original question........ To learn the skills you need as a good drone pilot, may require...

    Winter flying problems!

Well, I just figured someone here could help out, before I did my own extensive research. I thought there might be others who had experience flying in the winter and extreme cold.

Had New Quad For 15 Days, But.....

We have smaller hills or mountains around us, but when I am desperate to fly, I find a narrow hollow on the lee side of the hill. The winds are quite diminished being blocked by the mountain, but the winds that are not blocked entirely are usually weak, random gusts.

    Winter flying problems!

It's my experience that as a lipo battery is used and drained, it heats up. Even in extreme cold weather (I've flown in single digits this year) the battery still gets warm. My guess is that the warming effect of battery use is greater than the cooling effect of the cold air. I keep my...

    Winter flying problems!

Lone Ranger, some of us HAVE to fly in the winter! We can't stay way from the damn drones! I can't let a few days go by without flying something somewhere! Hence the Syma X5 and X5 clone. IF you are going to lose a quad in the snow, it may as well be an "under $30 drone"!

    Winter flying problems!

Well, Ren I removed ALL the grease from all my Symas. Since the gears are plastic on plastic, they do not need lubrication. Even the pot metal pinion gears riding on plastic drive gears- no lubrication needed. And in the case of the X5, the grease tends to attract dirt and sand and one small...

    Winter flying problems!

A friend of mine and I have a collection of different quality and style drones. We fly all year long. Lately we both found that our Syma x5's and my X5 clone are very sluggish in the cold weather. Even if we keep the drones, the controllers, and the batteries warm right up until we fly. We can...

Ran my brushless motor underwater then took it apart. (video)

You skipped over the part about re-soldering the broken wires.....! How did you even know which wire went where?

My Christmas Noob Story 2 drones in 2 days

I gotta ask .... How did your dad get the drone down? To me, a chainsaw is not out of bounds! LOL! You are gonna love your Hubson!

DJI controls around 70 percent of the global consumer drone business

I would think that maybe DJI has the biggest sales in terms of dollars, but I would think that Syma produces more drones over all. Yes, DJI selling 10 Phantoms vs Syma selling 10 X5C's ..... DJI might win the dollar amount, but I'd guess as drone sales goes, Syma sells 100 X5C drones for each...

    Aerosky X350 calibration?

Jackson, I watched it very closely and did not see what you saw. I seen him firing it up in just a few seconds, mine takes over 5 seconds. And he clearly says "ok, we have solid lights" (plural on the lights) BEFORE he fires up the motors and that is what confused me. I thought you had...

My Christmas Noob Story 2 drones in 2 days

Matthew, may I make a unsolicited suggestion to you? And this may be helpful to a lot of Noobs with other drones. A suggestion that I wish someone made to me. When you get your hubson, I would suggest you go through the start up, and calibration sequence at least once or more .....WITH THE...

    Aerosky X350 calibration?

NO, Moz, the trim buttons are fixed in the middle position some how. When I watch videos on youtube, the Aerosky X350 controllers on there have black trim buttons, the ones on mine are white. Perhaps I have an older or newer model? My manual also mentions not having to adjust the trims. I...
