NO, Moz, the trim buttons are fixed in the middle position some how.
When I watch videos on youtube, the Aerosky X350 controllers on there have black trim buttons, the ones on mine are white. Perhaps I have an older or newer model? My manual also mentions not having to adjust the trims. I don't get that myself.
I FINALLY got mine to start up, despite the crappy directions both in my manual and ALL the online videos I watched. To arm the motors, it says "push the left joystick down and in" .... Which I did to no avail. THEN I tried it and held it there UNTIL THE MOTORS STARTED and it worked. The book and online videos do not say you have to HOLD it down and in. So I was moving it there and letting it go. You must hold it there for at least 5 seconds! It would have been nice if either the operators manual OR the instructional on-line videos said that.
And both the instruction manual and the on line videos are unclear as to when the red flashing button is flashing and solid.
Both the manual and the on line videos made be think I had to wait until both the green and red lights had to stop flashing BEFORE I armed the motors, BUT in fact, arming the motors is what stops the red light from flashing. Very confusing.
Still, there seems to be no "spinning around compass calibration ritual" like other drones I own (my Walkera QR X350). Even my cheaper Syma X8HG's have a re-set or re calibrate step to calibrate the gyros and accelerometers. But I can't find mention of anything like that for the Aerosky X350.
But once I DID start it up, I was delighted that it is by far the smoothest and quietest drone I have ever witnessed! I just can't believe it. Just a real quiet, buzzing whisper sound.
