Probably not enough wire to solder it back to. you can reopen the JST end and solder it to a wire, but it is a more trouble, and would require some skill with a soldering iron, also you would need more wire than you have to do so comfortably.

Most of our equipment technically requires a HAM license. Those that don't are basically worthless due to the restrictions in an FCC certified device. As long as you are not interfering with something you likely will never be called out for not having a HAM license.
