DJI Phantom 4 Pros and Cons

That's about what I paid for mine, refurbished. It looked and flew as new. Looking forward to seeing how you like yours!

    Beginner FPV parts and compatibility?

The OSD setup in Betaflight is really good, and very configurable. As long as the FC supports OSD it's quite easy.

Newbie-> from U818 to Bugs 3...and the learning to fly process for me

You should probably be ok with Gearbest shipping, but odds are you will be blind until it arrives. Banggood is actually pretty good, but more often than not you won't see any tracking information. It will just arrive unannounced in 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. I use Banggood a lot and like them. Gearbest...

    Charger

Great deal on a good little charger. And it's an authentic SkyRC, not a knock-off.

I need help buying a drone

+1 to buying a cheap, fully manual quad to learn basics on. Learn to fly line of sight with no help. If the technology fails to perform as advertised at any point, you want to know how to actually fly the thing to get yourself out of trouble. Quads like the Typhoon, Phantoms, Mavic pretty much...

    Kingkong Tiny6 vs Tiny7

I'm getting ready to build a brushed "whoop" with 0716 motors. Based on what folks flying brushed micros with 7mm motors, I would expect the Tiny 7 to be very quick, definitely should be more powerful than the Tiny 6 with the 0615 motors. It may be a bit of a handful indoors.

I wouldn't fuss with the epoxy method for the same reason you mentioned. I personally use fine emery cloth to sand mine. The tape method works well, also.

    Troublesome Drone Purchase

You can try it, but the quality has been dicey on this quad from the start, as you have found. Another option would be looking for a new or refurbished Parrot Bebop 2. They go on sale once in a while.

You can do a YouTube search on balancing props and it should explain everything. Balancing props is always a good idea. New props frequently are not the same weight. Also, I would invest in some new props and change them. Bent props aren't helping either your motor life or flight stability. The...

First Quadcopter Flight - Big Fail

Sadly, this is a common story. Most of us did it when we started learning. Don't let it stop you, and like Jackson said, check over grass and in close to see if it has a motor shutoff fail-safe when the signal is lost.

Syma X5HW sees all batteries as drained but they are not

You should be able to buy the board pretty cheaply if you want to go that route. I'd try Ebay, Banggood, or Gearbest. Both the X5HC and HW use the same board...only the camera is different.

Newbie-> from U818 to Bugs 3...and the learning to fly process for me

What I said about needing a bit more throttle to maintain altitude when the nose is down is also true of adding roll (bank). Now you are distributing the thrust across three axes, so yes...it will need a bit more throttle to compensate. If you are seeing a difference toward the end of the...

VIFLY R130 - 130mm racing drone compatible with 4S battery

Either Gearbest or Banggood (I disremember which) has this quad on sale ARF verson for $139, I believe.

Newbie-> from U818 to Bugs 3...and the learning to fly process for me

Remember that when you push the nose down, a % of your lift gets translated into forward motion, leaving less thrust along the vertical axis. All other things being equal, you will need to add some throttle as you transition into forward flight if you want to maintain the same altitude. In the...
