    $120 450 build

Ain't it just, I only used pins on my first 2 builds. It was tight back then with a pwm rx & it only came with straight pins. Lessons learned & all that. Shaving grams off each build after that & enough spare wire to make a wig. Less stuff to buy. Swap the protective fcb casing for some liquid...

Problem with quad - please help

I'm pretty sure airmode will sort his problem. Without it at minimum throttle the props stop. The quad wobbles then falls. It used to scare me and it is a fine line finding the absolute minimum for them not to stop when flying. It was a god send when airmode came out. It maybe pids ,I'm just...

Venom Pro GPS will not calibrate

Isn't it about 14-15 minimum needed, Maybe you should have took it out somewhere & tried it properly. There maybe too much interference around your house or wherever you tried it. The same thing might happen again or they they send it back saying it does work. Result is you can't fly it around...

New Build is it worth it????

That's a beast. (big) You only need a flight controller, esc's & a pdb if the flight control doesn't have one built in, and your good to go. I take it you have a tx/rx. Like holtneil says, fpv kit can be added later. You may aswell get that up for what you need. 4 x 20Amp or 30Amp esc's Or...

Problem with quad - please help

If you want it on permanent, it's in the configuration tab. If you want it on a switch, it's in the modes tab. As soon as you arm the quad the props will spin so be careful.

Problem with quad - please help

Try putting air mode on a switch or just have it on permanent. The props will spin on min throttle giving you better stabilisation. ;)

    New FPV drone Purchase

My turnigy evo works with all my flysky rx's, not needed for a sim. I'm just saying. I plug it into my mobile with an OTG cable Or tablet. Take it anywhere. I use freerider as that seems to be the only one on playstore. The free version is sluggish, but if you buy the full version it's perfect...

    New FPV drone Purchase

Actual quad parts are under the budget, The extras take it over it. I thought you said you had a feel for flying. Get a Tx & get on a flight simulator. Getting a DPD frame & cheap flexible dipole antenna. You can crash all day with no worries.

    Insurance in the UK

Who said that m8. Just stay away from traffic & people. People don't have insurance for cycles. I would only have that for commercial use. It's just a hobby, an accident is just that.

    New FPV drone Purchase

Sounds like you want an acro flyer.? Tx/rx aside I have only ever broke one frame. Whether I've just been lucky, I don't see the difference in cloned frames. 4-5mm carbon arms is the norm. You're only paying extra for champherd edges & fittings, which I swap out anyway. Like shorter standoffs...

    New FPV drone Purchase

I fly acro maybe some survey work & build if anybody wants one on my travels. I tend to stay away from manafactured quads unless someone needs help fixing it or modding it. Usually they don't hang about long. Building things yourself means you probably in it for the long haul. Buy a toy &...

    2 arrested

Just the fact that the M. O. D was involved in this, stinks. Only to then say, err we can't shoot it out the sky. We don't know where the bullet will land. It used to be 5miles from an airport but now its a kilometre. My Notam app is marked 5 still, as I live a few hundred metres outside of...

New to quads and the forum

My brother In law has one, he too scared to fly it as it cost him £200 to fix on his maiden. He went for the big one first instead of a little trainer. He can fly one of them now but the big one about 1200mm long & he just can't bring himself to fly it, or me :(
