X5HW headless mode

Can't seem to get mine to work.
If I hold the left-shoulder button down for 2 seconds...I get the telltale "Di...Di...di" noise, but as soon as I lift off, it stops and the copter goes back to regular mode.
One time today, I managed to get it to work, but I'll be damned if I can remember what I did.

Apparently, there is a second way of turning on headless mode....anybody know what it is?

My Syma X25PRO is also useless in headless mode. I systematically experimented with that mode, and haven't been able so far to figure out where is "forward" in headless mode. Mine starts roughly correct, taking for "forward" the direction in which the quadcopter was looking while entering the mode, but from then on the "forward" reference seems to shift very fast, faster than I can adapt. It takes less than 20 seconds to fully reverse! It's impossible to fly in headless mode.

Even position holding by GPS doesn't work after switching into headless mode.

Maybe that's what "headless" means: The quadcopter has as much directional control as a chicken has, when it runs away after having its head chopped off!
Sorry for the bloody comparison, but really the Syma behaves like those poor headless chicken. Runs off in any direction, then crashes.

I used to like headless mode on my syma, you could yaw and pitch at the same time causing the kwad to piroette while flying forward.
