This new Hobbyking frame is very cool looking. I like that it keeps all of the electronics covered, but at 730g, it's not really worth the weight. The QAV500 weighs only 500g and it's a bit bigger. Also, with the high gloss paint and fiberglass body, you'd have to land this on a pillow or your paint job would be ruined on the first landing and any hard landing would crack the frame.
It's a good step in the right direction though. I hope that companies start developing efficient frames with fully enclosed canopies. With all the money we put into our copters, it would be cool to give them a unique look.
If anyone buys one of these and tries it out, let me know. I'd be curious as to how it flies.
