WTH just happened to my eachine i6?

This one is weird folks and I've tried searching on google and haven't found anything.

The problem? My eachine I6 just lost it's mind!!!

I had three quads saved using the "select model" feature in the menu.

"Eachine one" I renamed to "qx 90"
"Eachine two" I renamed to "qx 70"
"Eachine three" I renamed to "tiny 7"

This morning I went to fly the qx90 and it was on the tiny7 model. I went into the menu to switch models and when I did all the models went back to to "eachine one", "eachine two", etc.

It seems the tx has also unbinded itself from all the quads too.

WTH happened?

I didn't think so but what other answer could there be ?

I was wearing gloves, switched the tx off, then holding the two trim levers switched back on to go to menu.

Lesson learned: DO NOT wear gloves when going into menu!
 
#$@&%*! binding pins on the qx90.

So tiny you can't even see them so I'm using tweezers to short out the pins, told Susie to plug in the battery and that's when the magic smoke started coming out.

#$@&%*! Qx90 is going on the shelf which sucks because it's my favourite micro to buzz around the yard.

Yea that Eachine 'custom' FW is a drag, the standard FlySky or Turnigy FW doesn't work that way. When you turn it on it goes straight to the regular menu.

Oh I didn't know that. Still doesn't explain what happened though. It is not so easy to do a factory reset that it could just happen by mistake. Looks like it's time to upgrade to a real flysky and ditch the eachine junk.

It is a real Flysky, it's just that Eachine chose to shield with custom FW, what they assumed were novice customers, from accidently screwing things up.

You can install one of benb0jangles' fancy FW, lots of Youtube vids on it.

This is just for reference, he first loads some custom FW, then he returns to the stock FW.


You'll have to do your trim button thing the first time.
