Not a bad setup, though you might opt for a better frame, or wait to see if this cheaper one breaks because you might have a few crashes before learning to fly well. The NAZA will help a lot with that though hahahaha.


Do you already have a set of goggles or are going to opt for the Quantum V2 goggles?

I already have a set of goggles, and I fly a blade 450 3d. I have spoken some people, they say that the controls are prety much the same. But my main question is: which props should I use, I do not know where to look, the manual of the frame says that it supports 11 ich props, but can I use every 11 inch prop on this motor ?

My recently-built S500 frame (also from Hobbyking) is essentially the exact same frame as the one you are considering. As you'll see from the link, this kit came with 2212 motors, 15A ESC's and 9" props. I'm very surprised to see HK recommending* 10-12" props for essentially the identical frame. The 9" props work well, and possibly a 10", but an 11- 12"? You may find that a larger prop extends too far INto the frame, rendering the top of your Quad 'out of bounds' for locating any electronics components/batteries/antennas, etc. (this platform really doesn't have a huge amount of real estate to work with as is…)

* IMO: Hobbyking's product description writers need a foot squarely to the buh-tox. Look at your proposed motors: HK describes them as (and I quote) "Quanum MT Series 2227 800KV Brushless Multirotor Motor Built by DYS". Yet the picture clearly displays MT2217 right on the motor!). Ask me about the X380 I bought that was very obviously an open/returned item, yet was not described as such anywhere in the product description (several others had the exact same issue with the exact same product. HK immediately volunteered a $120USD bonus point credit against my account over that error… and without the need for ANY fight! (It was that credit that paid for my S500!)). Long and short? Take their recommendation on prop size with a big grain of salt...

PS: Even though its inexpensive and handy to have kicking around, you might not need the PDB - your proposed frame has the PDB built-in. (my frame's "built-in" PDB was nothing more than a separate wiring harness with an XT60 for battery power, then separate wires branching out with bullet connectors for the ESC's, and a JST connector for aux power - see rant above re: crappy descriptions!)

And a question of my own for the resident experts here: Why do the OP's proposed ESC's each have their own XT60 connector on them? Surely they would just connect straight to the PDB and share the battery power distributed through that board?
