I have built a few quads now,, and my latest is a ATG700 x6 hexcopter with 4k camera on 3 axis gimbal, with gps and autonomus flight with 433mhz telemetry + fpv live stream to fatsharks..
I already had most of the gear and it cost me around £600 for esc, motors, props, frame, 12v bec, flight controller (px4lite), sony 811 camera fpv, 3 axis gimbal. sirocco 4k action camera.
motors are 3536 900kv turning 12" props 6 ov them
I not well up on the osmo camera,, but I use a sony camera for fpv and the 4k camera is for filming,, this is because the 4k camera has a slightly higher latency (slower transmission time)
if you are just gonna fly for filming a 4k camera may be ok,, but do not attempt flying through trees... switches are available from hobbyking to switch between cameras so can have more than one camera wired up.
WHAT IS LARGE FLYING RANGE ? most people use
2.4 ghz transmitter and receiver for flying there quadcopters,, I GET 1.5KM WITH NO PROBS AT ALL
5.8 ghz video transmitter and reciver for fpv
These two options above are the normal options..
Longer ranges can be achieved by using uhf transmitter and receiver for flying and 1.2ghz video transmitter and receiver for fpv.. (mainly used on planes gliders because of there longer flight times that can be achieved)
I would recommend fry sky taranis transmitter and receiver on 2.4ghz....
sunnsky 3508 motors 700kv or T-Motor MT4006/13 740Kv Multicopter Motor if running 4 cell lipo or 400kv motor if using 6 cell lipo
30 amp esc 6 off
distribution board with 12v and 5 v outputs and power outlet for flight controller
boscam 600mw transmiiter and receiver for video
HS1177 FPV Camera 600TVL IR Sensitive CCD Pal --- there is no point in getting a higher resolution camera,, transmitters used for fpv not up to the job yet... THIS CAMERA IS USED BY LUKE BANISTER,, WINNER OF THE DUBAI GRAND PRIX
433 MHZ 3DR RADIO LINK - can be used on ground station for live feedback and control quadcopter,, or plug in to smart phone to also control and receive live feedback
MONITOR FOR FPV OR GOGGLES
I gonna put a link below to a place where you can get all of these,, you can have it fully built or in kit form,,
Peter also has mavlink modules that send info back to the taranis transmitter showing volts amps rssi mah used timer GPS position with live map onscreen
http://www.droneshop.biz/
at the bottom of his web page there is a link to his utube videos,, there worth a watch if just for an education value on tarainis transmitter flight controllers and mavlink
hope this helps a little,,, Andy
