where does cc3d get power from ?

Hi , i have replaced all the esc's on my black widow drone , but i think i made an error when buying the esc's , am i right in thinking the cc3d fc gets its power from the esc then sends power on to the receiver ? .
The esc's i took off had 3 wires each going to the fc and the new ones only have 2 , i am now thinking this 3rd wire was a + feed for the fc ..
The esc's i used are Spedix GS30A Blheli_32 30A ESC (2-4S .

Is there a way around this or do i need another set of esc's

Those ESCs are optos (no bec). The 2 wires are white for signal and black for ground. Your cc3d gets it's power source (5v) from the pdb

It is possible that the fcb was being powered by the esc. And easy easy to tell: plug your battery in and see if the fcb lights up. If yes then you're good to go. If no lights, you will have to power your fcb with another 5v power supply.

If there's a BEC on the old ESCs, there's a chance there's no PDB. If there's no way to get a regulated 5V, you'll have to go with a step down regulator.

If you have links to the products you're working with, and maybe some photos, we'll have a better chance of getting you moving along.
Regarding the 4 power leads, not sure. Only ever used a PDB with FCs the need 5V (okay, that's not true, there was the one time I borrowed from the VTx). I don't think it hurts anything to have them all. I think I've read that you really only need 1,though, and removing 3 of them can help with something, but don't remember what.

Correct. If you're powering your flight controller by an ESC with a 5V BEC, you only use one. You just remove the red power wire from the remaining 3.

I thought i put a link on that post , link ( ill try again ,,)
I have salvaged a connector from an old esc and powered the fc from my bench psu and all is working fine ..
thanks for all your help..
