Where do I start???

Hi,
Im new to all these forums and quads and what not... Ive been doing endless amounts of research for what I wanna do with my quadcopter, but i cant come to any conclusions as to what would be a better buy...

So, what i really want is something that has video/photo capabilities... But I dont just wanna get any camera and call it quits... i wanna make sure that the pics come out well enough to show off beautiful sunsets from above the ground.

Also, I want a nice range... preferrably over 75-100 meters if at all possible...

Battery life... I want 10+ minutes if at all possible

FPV would be nice, but i know that might be asking too much for my price range... which is no more than 100 bucks...

I see all kinds of options that could be viable, but every time i find one i like i find something that makes it a deal breaker... what is your guys' experience? Anyone of you guys doing the same sort of thing? I wanna make the jump rather soon, but I need more clarity on the issue!

Also, i have never flown one before so I dont know if i should start here or not!

I'm writing up how to build a drone that will (eventually) have FPV/Filming support both on my thread on this forum and on my blog at https://droneonabudget.wordpress.com/

The whole thing so far (Frame, Motors, ESCs, Props and Flight Control Board) has cost me around £85GBP however it will cost more if you don't have a radio/batteries/chargers already.

https://droneonabudget.wordpress.com/2014/11/18/hello-and-welcome/ details what I'm buying, where I'm buying it from and how much it would cost if you add in the batteries/radio/etc.

I'm buying it from Amazon because I have gift vouchers, however aliexpress.com probably have the parts for half the price!

Hope that's of some help,

Matt

Hi mate, like my friend said its not a cheap hobby , look at hobby king they do a frame for about £9 parts are cheap build a 450 size quad learn to fly this and save up for the FPV , which hobby king do a plug and play every thing you need in the box for £62 , you may be able to get buddy codes for some parts which will help , a 450 quad will get to over 2000 feet easy, so will do every thing you want HK also do a RTF 450 quad so it may be a better move but make sure what ever way you go fly on mode 2
