what to buy?

I am new to the quad world. I bought a syma x8c a couple of months ago. I have had very few flights with it. I have wrecked it so bad I had to buy both the top and bottom shell for it from china. this is an ok quad for the $100.00 I spent but I am wanting to move on to something that would be much more durable and not as prone to breakage. could yall suggest what I might look into purchasing? keep in mind I don't have a fat wallet. something up to around 500.00 but lower would be cool.

from what i seen, the more expensive the quad, the more easily it breaks and the more expensive it is to repair!

i'll update this post after my u807 comes in and i experience it for myself, but from what i have seen the u807 is the best "fun" quad...dji phantom if u want epic photography, and eachine racer 250 if you want fpv podracing fun.

Have you considered building your own?

yes...that also. i was just looking at the eachine 250, not bad for 189 on amazon. I'm not really looking for a racer though but I like it. I'll mostly do just flying around in my back field and video the neighborhood in the country

Bad choice for a first quad, you need something cheap and light that can take multiple crashes. You need to not have to worry about crashing it. You need to establish the proper muscle memory before moving up.
I got one of these and it's a great flyer.

If you want fancy these will basically fly themselves

Get at least one spare battery.
