What mode should I use to fly? Beginner

I've been flying on sight since I finished building my quad. I tried flying on angle mode for a few days but when I land kinda hard on the floor my quad flips over and well it crashes. I'm only flying about 4 feet off the ground and I hate seeing my quad flipping and crashing. Is angle a good mode to begin learning how to fly?

Just keep practicing in acro, sure you're gonna crash a lot, we all did. When you get decent at flying and want to start doing flips and rolls, you can flip it into Horizon mode for a few flights. It'll give you the feel for stick movements to do stunts with the security of auto-level when over or under-rotating.

That's a bad idea, especially over a hard floor.
There's a phenomenon called "ground effect" that makes the stability of quads (and helis) go awry when too close to the ground.
When flying indoors try staying more around the middle of the room's height (or about six feet high) and you'll have better control. ;)

Horizon mode is fine for just starting out and getting the hang of what the controls do, but as soon as you're familiar with what's what,
you definately want to fly exclusively in Acro mode (except for maybe when learning stunt moves). :)
