Hey !

I got deeply interested in racing quadcopters and I would like to purchase my first one during the next few weeks.
I checked what is available on the market and I found enormous quantity of stuff to buy to use a RQ.

This is why I'm asking this, if I buy this or this, what else do I need to buy to use it ?

Thanks !

Lots of props for either!

The first looked like it was rtf with everything.

The second is better quality, but is much more expensive. It will need a radio, a compatible ccpm receiver, battery(s), charger, and battery monitor. Its not clear which flight controller it comes with.

Thanks for your answers!
Are video goggles selled with these quadcopters ?

Another question: would it cost less or more money to build it on my own (from A to Z) ?

No, you'd have to buy the goggles separately. I've got these ones, and I'm quite happy with them.

As for your other question, it wouldn't be much cheaper to build your own than to just buy the first one you posted (which is the one I'd go with). As you're new to this hobby, it might be a little overwhelming building your own. Don't worry, you'll get lots of experience taking apart and fixing your first one when you crash. And you will. A lot

Both are great quads, and as long as you lower your rates and expo to a very comfortable setting either would fly 'almost' fly easy as a Phantom ;)

Just don't start out trying to do full throttle with normal rates, as you'll likely end up loosing it or crashing it into something head on, however I was able to put my build which is similar to those into the hands of a very inexperienced (he had had a toy quad for about a month) 12 year old who could then fly it relatively well (no crashes, but a few hard landings) providing I had the rates low. After a minute or two of flight and a couple adjustments he was flying better with this than the toy quad hahaha.

It was not the exact same build, but similar enough that they would fly about the same.
