Vibrations/wobble

So, I seem to have the battery issue sorted. The only other problem I'm having is vibrations/wobble.

Having done a bit of research it appears this could be attributed to one or more of the following:

1) Props need balancing
I have purchased this prop balancer (http://goo.gl/FVC2Cw) but unfortunately my kit came with the self tightening type props, which I can't balance using that particular bit of kit, so I may invest in some decent carbon ones and see how that goes.

2) Engines need balancing
Really hoping I don't need to go down this route!

3) 4 cell battery with 10inch props.
I don't think it's that. As you can see, I am using my 3 cell battery, and there still seems to be an issue. That said, the wobble is enhanced when I use my 4 cell.

4) Gains
I really don't think the wobble I'm experience is down to gains, but will be experimenting just in case.

Anyway, please do cast an eye over my video and let me know what you think might be the problem.

(you can actually hear the wobble better than you can see it)

Thanks

I want to say it's a prop balancing issue, but that is a lot of wobble, so those things would have to be quite out of balance. Surely you should own a balancer anyway and ensure they are in balance anyway, so the balancer is a good investment. Having props even slightly out of balance will wear out your motors quickly.

It could also be gains, so definitely play with those in the mean time to try to see if the issue improves.

This is a good guide for tuning the gains (I believe you have a Naza right?)

http://www.dji.com/info/spotlight/what-does-parameter-gain-mean

See toward the bottom where it says Wookong/Naza.

It could also be the board positioning on the copter. Ensure it's dead center, pointing perfectly in the correct orientation, is flat, etc.

Thank again mm

I had a play around with the gains and it has made quite an improvement when I'm using my 3 cell battery. It's still pretty bad when I use the 4 cell though, so may have to make a few more adjustments.

I had a nasty crash a few weeks ago, which resulted in me snapping the distribution board. I rebuilt it over the weekend, so am more than happy that my flight controller is dead centre etc (yes it's a Naza light).

I do have a prop balancer, but it doesn't work with the self tightening blades. However, for the sake of a few quid, I'm going to invest in some carbon props, which will hopefully improve things, and which I can balance if needs be in the balancer I've already bought.

As I said, I went out with it yesterday evening and it was much improved after messing around with the gains, and I was hoping to post some more footage, but I left the bloody dust cap on my GoPro!!!! Doh!!

Thanks again for the advice and link :)

No prob. Sounds like it may have been an issue with the gains then. Haha - that must have been frustrating when you found out you left the cap on. No big deal though, there's always next time.
