USB LiPo Charger

Hi all,

I got myself a Sky Viper S670 and all is get. It came with a 1S 350mAh battery and a charger that plugs into a USB port on PC.

Everything works fine but I was wondering, what happens if I plug that LiPo charger into a USB cellphone charger that has an output of 5v 1000mA. Will the charger regulate voltage and current, or will it damage the LiPo?

The charger should regulate the current & voltage. I used a cell phone charger all the time until I bought my Imax B6 Mini.

FWIW if you simply don't use the cradle that holds/surrounds the battery a standard 500-650mAh size battery will fit in the quad nicely. Flight times with the stock battery were quite disappointing.

Ya stock battery gets me 3min flight if I'm aggressive. 4 min if I take it easy. I bought a Turnigy 750mAh, fits perfectly as you mentioned. My 4 min flight of taking it easy has been tripled. I now get 12min. Probably a bit less if I fly aggressively.

Very nice little quad though. It's my trainer while I build a 250 racer.

hi all , new to here and quadcopters. i have the skyviper HD 950 with some 3.7V 650 and 750 mah lipo batteries. i am wondering , is it ok to plug the usb charger into a tablet usb adapter that plugs into a wall? or is that a problem? i have had this about a week or 2 and have been using the tablet wall adaptor and it still takes about the recommended time to charge and the batteries never get warm or anything. any help? thanks in advance
