Upgraded Forum Software

Good evening! I just upgraded the forum software, so let me know if you have any issues using the site. Things should be a bit faster now and you may notice a few differences in functionality throughout the site.

Next, I'll be working on reorganizing some of the forum topics and creating some new ones, like "RTF" since a lot of people are looking for some different things or want to post them, but don't know where to post.

I'm also working on creating a thread with a big list of resources for quadcopters. Hopefully this will all be done in the next week or so. Sorry for the delay, I have a pretty busy day job in addition to running this forum.
 
Excellent! I was going to suggest a thread for resources. I have a few that I like but know that there are more out there. I have a few things I would like to throw out there and get everyones opinion on but I don't want to bury it in one of the sub fourms where no one will see it. Seems to me that the general discussion forum is the most popular but my questions are on the DJI controller and software.
 
Hi MM we need a thread for warning of problems like blade 350 qx loss of control due to go pro working on same 2.4g as transmitter
and plastic props snapping in flight due to stress fractures, and the not so funny one dji phantom turned on in doors with gps on and it went in to return home......well home was in the back garden not a nice site to see
 
Hey! I created a "Safety" section before, but maybe I should change the title to "Safety & Lessons Learned" or something? What do you think?
 
Yeah, this is definitely a great idea. I'm going to create a stickied thread with some instructions on how to post this info so it's more easily searchable.

HI MM ,why cant we have a message system so i can send a message direct to you ,not on a thread , while i have you my friend from the USA FloHIO117 has just become a member he is a god of quads and will be a great help to the forum , his new video is no here an 1 hour hover time , so if you want an FPV quad that can hover for an hour ,he is the man to see kind regards neil
 
You can direct message. It's somewhat confusing with this forum software through. You'd click my username, then "start a conversation". That's the same as private messaging. I don't know why it's not just called private messaging. In fact, I think I might be able to change that.

Oh wow, I'm going to go watch that video now! Sounds pretty amazing. I'm glad we're starting to get some more experienced members to help everyone out! This is going to be great!!
 
I changed it from "Start a Conversation" to "Send a Message" when you click on someone's name or avatar. It will still be called "conversation" everywhere else though for now since there are quite a few different places where it's used. This should make it easier for users to find out how to send direct messages though.
