Upgrade from the original FPV camera.

I was in a Walmart in Missouri today, looking at Gopro Hero Sessions action cameras, when I noticed that Vivitar also produced a line of HD, and Wifi action cameras of about the same size and weight, at under $150.00 for the most expensive version. How do these compare to the Gopro line? I want to upgrade, but $500.00 for a camera on a quad that is "toy grade", is clearly overkill to me.

There are lots of very good cameras out there at less than $100 and great ones at less than S150. This lightweight one should w0rk well for your quad.

I've got the Foxeer and really like it for the price. Nice thing is that it's very easy to set up to be controlled by your transmitter, and it comes in 4 different colors

I will check out the various prices. I like that none are dependent on the onboard battery that powers the quad.

The nice thing about the Foxeer is that it's connected to the receiver via a USB port and although it's powered by it's own battery, it's also being continuously charged

I must say that since this thread started, I now have the Hero 5 Session. Nothing else compares....once you get over the sticker shock
