Unstable?

I just recently finished my first quad, and I was so excited to get out for the maiden flight. As soon as I armed the motors and gave it a little throttle, it spins out of control and flips out. What did I do wrong/How can I prevent this? My drone is not flyable...

Hi mate can you give us more info like motors , FCB, Frame,ESC etc , main things to check are motors turning right way front 2 turn towards each other so front left CW front right CCW, back left CCW back right CW, are the motors plugged in to the right pins on FCB , are the props the right way up and turning the right way
