UK Restricted AirSpace, what to do?

Just checked and found I live in a restricted air space.
Close to the Red Location pin.
Am I correct in assuming I can't fly anything here, even a little whoop in the backyard?
Is it worth contacting the airport to request permission?
Totally gutted, as I'm pretty much housebound 24/7.
So glad I haven't chucked a lot of £££s at this yet. I passed my Operator and Flyer ID yesterday too. :(

I'd say it can't hurt to check with local airports if in the zone but my guess is they wouldn't care about anything sub 250g at all and if flying at parks around or under tree level then I don't think it's any sort of safety concern. That said better to know what will be enforced, also remember there are probably a lot of kids and the like that aren't looking into or paying any attention to the rules but doesn't mean you shouldn't. I'm lucky in living just outside restricted areas around midway and o hare airports here in Chicago and have heard if you do call the airport or tower as FAA advised they will mostly laugh it off but I do try to stay compliant and pay my dues and all. In the Chicago area really the police have bigger fish to fry and have never really hassled me about my quads or my electric skateboard which also lies in legal gray area

Long story short best to keep the skies safe, but if a heli or plane is flying below the tree line I think we all have bigger problems to deal with than my little quads. Your call to check on local laws but just keep it safe and don't fly over random people or cars (stay in fields or uninhabited areas) and all should be well.

Cheers,
I'll check with the local authorities and find out, the thought of a large fine and/or having gear confiscated really scares me. Still keeping my fingers crossed, they may say it's fine as long as I stick within certain parameters.
